A mile behind Skala lie the ruins of the original village destroyed by the 1953 Earthquake. Enjoying stunning panoramic views over the Ionian Sea to Zante and mainland Greece. Visitors can now experience the revived village in the form of a community of high specification villas built to be sympathetic to the environment and with painstaking attention to detail, enhancing the original ruins.

Old Skala is located 35 km from the airport and set a mile from the two best beaches on Kefalonia (Skala and Mounda) as well as one of the largest resorts on the island (Skala). Yet each villa enjoys tranquillity and pure luxury, designed and located to enjoy the best Kefalonia has to offer.

Old Skala has a Greek taverna,  enjoying one of the most spectacular sites on the island with dramatic views. It prides itself for having the vastest wine collection on the island and a selection of Greek dishes made from only fresh ingredients and in a gourmet style. The taverna provides an idyllic setting for an extravagant dining experience, after dinner drinks or merely a stop over for coffee during the day.
