It is not difficult to see why Lourdas has become one of the most popular beach resorts on the south coast of Kefalonia. Clinging to the shoulder of mount Aenos, whose comforting bulk shelters the south coast from inclement weather and whose lower slopes provide a marvellous vantage point from which to enjoy panoramic sea views. Views which extend over the Ionian sea, to the east, where the Greek island of Zante crouches on the horizon, whilst to the west, the craggy outline of the Liakas peninsula marks the end of the bay. The area has a number of excellent beaches, often with a choice of tavernas or bars right on the water’s edge, ranging from Lourdas’ own to neighbouring Kanali and Trepazaki or, just a few kilometres away, St.Thomas and Spartia. Our Lourdas beach villa enjoys a prime location, amongst the olive groves at the western end of Lourdas’ magnificent beach. As the villa is set on a slight hill above beach level, there is a fair degree of privacy around the swimming pool and sun terrace. The setting is one of peace and traquility, with a convenient choice of tavernas, bars, shops, boat hire and water sports, just a short stroll along the beach. The villa is built on two flors, in a fresh, contemporary style and whilst it is quite simply furnished, it is very well equipped with every modern convenience. On entering the cool tiled interior of the lounge, dining and kitchen area, your attention is immediately drawn to the superb views from every door and window. Comforable furnishings and a bright airy feel, ensure you relax immediately into your holiday. The ground floor has a set of patio doors that lead straight out to the terrace and swimming pool, from where you can enjoy a spot of “al fresco” dining with fabulous beach and sea views. Located next to the lounge/dining area is a twin bedroom which also has direct access out to the pool terrace. Upstairs are two attractive double bedrooms with private balconies and unrivalled beach and sea views.
